Just broke a physical and mental barrier, getting into the 140’s for the first time in many, many years! 4.4 lbs to go to my goal weight! Checking in with my progress so far. I had set a goal to lose 19lbs and as of this morning I have lost 17 1/2 lbs!!! Only 1 1/2 lbs to go!! I’m thinking about going for another 5lbs. Stair stepper yesterday, exercise ball today…went blueberry picking and picked/froze 10 pounds of blueberries for smoothies. Thinner This Year – Beta Test 11 months agoI started YNY on 5/29. I have only dropped 2 lbs but I feel and look way better so I am not discouraged. I am excited for TTY to jumpstart the weight loss. Will finish the book this week.

(The siblings take turns) My mom has dementia and it just breaks my heart to see her that way. You’ll do fine, on step at a time!
We’re all in this together which will Super motivate us!

Hoping my book comes today. Lifted weights this morning, not my favorite thing to do but know it’s part of the deal. Great to have motivation to do it!

Do you use weights at the gym?
I don’t have a gym near me until the fall (as in Autumn) ha ha, i don’t intend to FALL.-
Hi Becky. I don’t go to the gym. I use dumbells at home. I just moved up from 5 lb to 8lb. It’s a start.

Can you give me some tips for using the dumbells?
I have some 5 lbs. i do know how to use them for my arms . . . but what do we do for our legs??Congrats on your graduation to the 8 pounders

Hi Becky. I don’t do alot for my legs for weights. I include lunges and squats mostly.

I am so happy I found this book! I have told ”at least” 15 people here in Calgary Canada. Even the guy who sold me my new heart monitor. My diet is good – I haven’t eaten ”crap” for years. I am excited to start my exersize program and begin to feel more energy. Love the hula hoop and jump rope idea … I must run out and get them.

I live north of Calgary! I bought the book a month ago and finished reading it today. I am not a big junk food eater. I started this past week making everyday an exercise day. Have to get the monitor still. I am so excited about my next third in life and how active I will be!

and today, i walked, like Lipton’s Tea, BRISKLY
2.2 miles in 37 minutes.
You don’t know (or maybe you do) how difficult it was for me to get out of my front door . . . but once i did,

Thinner This Year – Beta Test 11 months agoYAY! Took the Lavender Wonder out for a spin this morning, but BOO! am I out of shape! Ordered a cycling jersey (btw, Great Sale @ Performance Bike) but am aiming at a YNY jersey when I hit my goal weight!

I do find that just being picked as part of this study has helped me. I think I feel that I so thankful that I’m a part of this that it keeps me more on track. When I’m not working hard enough I think of all those who were not picked and then I try harder…
