Mercy, that Bears game was fun. Flew all the way out there, just for the game, and it was worth it. It was the coldest Bears game in recorded history. But not in the cozy old owner’s box, by heaven. Some terrific people and an enormously exciting game. Even Hilary – who was not wildly excited at the idea – had a terrific time. One of the guests was Dick Durbin, the Illiois senator, and what a limbic triumph he was…an extraordinary gift for connecting with people. Not surprisind, I guess, but mighty impressive. Like hearing an opera singer up close: unusual.
And an odd example of what is still a good idea: DEFAULT TO YES! Sometimes interesting things happen.
