Ever so briefly, the Harvard 50th was an intense experience…pleasant to see a bunch of people but also interesting just to sit in a sea of people your own age. Like going to a convention of grandparents. And to be whipsawed (between being 20…as you walk around the Yard and the real present) between then and now was very intense indeed. Still sinking in.
Today, resumed the important business of being a kid again: went for a 75 mile bike ride in steep hills with Harry and a young doctor pal of his…such a kick in the pants.
I OVERHEARD A NICE COMMENT FROM HARRY: We were almost to the top of a hellish five-mile hill and I overheard him say to the other doc: “Every gerontologist should have to bike up this will with Chris…I would spin their heads around about aging.” Nice.
