Hip preperations

Trying to work out pretty hard to make the surgery go better. But a little leary of leg work…fear making the “tear” worse. So am just doing leg stuff at a maintenance level…i.e. biking at 60-70% of max. Maybe it’s time to start swimming. Rowing machine may be best…no pain with that. Any experience? suggestions? Thanks
