Off to Pebble Beach to give two 3-hour talks, on successive days. Even I don’t have quite that much to say. It occurs to me that I am a cover for something else: I drone on to a largely empty room and everyone goes out to play golf. Or conduct shocking affairs with colleagues or whatever. Scary.
